00: Part 1: A Fool's Defense "I guess you could say that my 'discovery' was an accident. I never let on that I was anything more than an ordinary guy, and honestly I didn't consider myself anything special. I was raised with the notion that everyone is 'special' in their own way, and we should never consider ourselves any better than anyone else…blah, blah, blah, unicorns, rainbows, sunshine and all that bullshit. I guess it was that philosophy that kept me from becoming some kind of sideshow freak or show-off, so I suppose I should be thankful. Though it could have been the fact that no one else could see what I did, and I really didn't have any proof. Essentially, it w
00: Part 2: Chance Meetings Against my better judgment, and since I had no fucking idea when A-club ended, I followed her to the tech room. Well, I didn't follow her, per-se. I jacked around for a while and eventually made my way to the tech room to make sure I wasn't being followed. It took about an hour. The door was cracked open and I put my head through the opening. Apparently I made good time; she was just putting away the projector using a step ladder to get to the top shelve. The room was semi-dark and smelled like burnt popcorn. There were wires and junk all over the place, cluttering the tables, certain areas of the floor and all of the shelves. The only clean
00: Part 3: Wings of Fate I woke up I think several hours later. She was awake already and was shaking me."Did I fall asleep again? Crap, this is the fourth time that I have fallen asleep in this room this year!" "Yeah, you fell asleep so I did too." I paused. "Wait, you've done this before! Four times! How can you do that?" "Sometimes I get busy doing work and things in here. The custodians just let me sleep. They even gave me a key and the passwords to the alarms so I could let myself out." "They gave you a key?" "Well, they got tired of having to send a squad car here to let me out and turn off the alarm, so, they gave me one." "So, we can leave then? G
00: Part 4: Awakening I was unconscious for about 30 minutes. During the time I had touched Gale's scars, the supernatural forces flowing through my body and throughout the room had cracked the concrete and tile floor and dented the ceiling where we where standing and lifted everything in the room that wasn't tied down off of the ground and moved it about three steps to the left. Not only that, but when I was knocked away from her into the door I broke the door off of its hinges and was knocked all the way into the hallway. It was one hell of a psychic shock wave. I was lucky to escape with just a couple of cracked ribs and some heavy bruises on my back."Ow…Fuck
The Puppeteer He saw a new puppet in the shop window today,Right behind a rocking horse, and next to a book of nursery rhymes.Unnoticed and lonely,Beautiful yet homely. New and made of fine supple wood,No wires – no old attachments.Boxed and in mint condition.Long brown hair and curled eyelashes, Clothed in brown overalls with a southern disposition. He desired it desperately, but knew it wasn't for him.He walked back, a very long way, to his home along the shore,Feeling the string around his heart tugging him to go back to the store. He lied on his wooden bench and closed his eyes. In dreams he controlled his very first puppet,
